Lumberjack Flooring Co. was founded on one simple idea: great floors should be easy to get — no treasure map required. Louis, our owner, president, board wrangler, and part-time stand-up enthusiast, has two great passions in life: making people laugh and installing floors so smooth they could star in a butter commercial.

He started his journey as a rookie at the very literally named Hardwood Floor Company. Under the guidance of skilled wood-taming veterans, Louis went from greenhorn to craftsman, from craftsman to leader, and eventually from leader to full-blown Board Master.

Rumor has it he can install flooring faster than most people can find the end of a roll of painter’s tape. Some say the secret behind his immaculate refinishing technique is the same secret preserving Dick Van Dyke’s immortality.

Eventually, Louis followed his destiny — fueled by grit, ambition, and the faint scent of fresh-cut lumber — and founded Lumberjack Flooring Co. LLC. Alongside him is his wife, Lexi, who skillfully handles all office operations and social media so Louis can stay laser-focused on what he loves most: The Craft. You’ll usually find Lexi at her desk, or occasionally on a job site capturing some rad photos and videos of Louis in action. Meanwhile, their loyal pug, Henry, can often be found supervising from the home office, offering moral support and occasional snort-based commentary.
